Why I Sold My Moto Guzzi V7, An Honest Ownership Story

This is a story I’ve never properly told.

After years of wanting one, I finally bought a Moto Guzzi V7 and, at first, I completely fell in love with it. The character, the V-twin engine, the way it felt alive, it felt like the closest thing to a classic motorcycle you can buy new today.

But as ownership went on, things didn’t quite go to plan.
In this video, I explain honestly and calmly why I decided to sell my Moto Guzzi V7, what went wrong mechanically, how modifying a bike under warranty played a part, and how customer service ultimately affected my confidence and trust in the bike.

This isn’t a rant, and it’s not a warning to avoid Moto Guzzi. Plenty of owners have had faultless experiences. This is simply my personal ownership story, what I learned from it, and why sometimes it’s not just the problem itself, but how it’s handled, that changes how you feel about a motorcycle.

We also talk briefly about motorcycle warranties, customisation culture, and how brands like Harley-Davidson approach modifications very differently.
