Ty McPherson of Laidlaw’s H-D Has taken on the goal of outfitting a Harley-Davidson Street 750 to be a capable off-road, Baja Machine. With Tetsuya as his head technician, they over-came a lot of mechanical challenges to convert this Street into a motorcycle equipped to handle the rigors of the Baja – and hopefully be the first ever Harley-Davidson to finish the San Felipe 250. Ty and Tetsuya go into the details of the parts and mechanical aspects of this motorcycle. They explain the challenges and everything it took to create this dirt version of what is typically a bike that never leaves the pavement.
