After a sudden loss of compression and some unusual noises, we found the culprit: a $12 plastic lifter cuff that cracked, causing a chain reaction that destroyed the camshaft and sent metal through the entire motor.

We dive deep into the mechanical failure, documenting taking apart the engine piece by piece. We also address the discovery of mismatched pushrods.
