Everybody says the Ninja 500 is slow because it only makes 45 horsepower. I don’t think the engine is the problem. I think it’s the suspension. So we pulled the forks completely apart, put in an Andreani Misano Evo cartridge kit and a Nitron rear shock, and rode the exact same road again to see what actually changed.

Short version: the bike is not faster. It just stopped fighting me.
