I went into this review with some expectations. The CRF 300 Rally is the quintessential beginner bike, at least that’s what the world has taught us. But in my experience, it’s more nuanced than this.
Sure you can modify, upgrade and improve it, but not everyone has the budget, experience or knowledge to do so. And thus what the Rally is, is. a bike that is brilliant at some tasks, but not great beginner bike.
It’s a tool for getting you places regardless of ability, not turning you into a great motorcycle rider and those things are very different.
