The Suzuki DR-Z4SM Supermoto is exactly what you think it is, and that’s both its greatest strength and its biggest limitation.
We spent proper time riding the DR-Z4SM in the real world: town, back roads, and the kind of riding where light weight, sharp handling, and good suspension actually matter. It’s fast enough, extremely nimble, changes direction instantly, and feels right at home being hooned through traffic and tight roads. The suspension is excellent, the bike feels light beneath you, and it delivers the playful, point-and-shoot experience supermotos are loved for.
But it’s not without compromise. There’s a lack of low-down grunt, noticeable vibration at higher RPMs, and styling that’s beginning to feel dated. More than that, the DR-Z4SM raises a bigger question – is this style of bike still evolving, or has it been left behind?
