Episode 4 in our tour of Goa, India series, on Royal Enfield Classic 350 motorcycles, where we immerse ourselves in Indian life, culture, food, sights & sounds, landscape, towns, cities, villages and rural life – all off the tourist trail. This is a motorcycle touring travel series with a difference – there is nothing like it on YouTube.

Today, we awake to a very unusual event! Then we ride from our resort, mainly off-road, on Classic 350’s, the best of Royal Enfield, to the historic and majestic temples of Hampi in India. The way Indian people react to us never ceases to humble us. We encounter, monkeys, a massive bull, and meet many Indian people in and around the temples. As ‘westerners’ we are learning that the Hindu religion is very special; (incidentally, we are not Christians).

We then leave, to ride off into the countryside and stop to look at an example of the most sustainable farming on earth! If only the Western world could follow India’s lead in this! We know that many Indian people want it to develop, but there is so much to learn and appreciate from the old ways, which work in harmony with nature and the environment, and involve the whole community.

We then reach the end of the road – literally, and have a big challenge to continue our journey.

Finally, we arrive at an unusual restaurant in the countryside for lunch. It has a hippie vibe – not our particular taste, but nevertheless an experience.

We end back at the resort, and prepare for the next day…where we discover paradise! This is a MUST see!! Please subscribe so you don’t miss it.
