Today we put two very different motorcycles head to head, Yamaha’s Latest MT 125 offering, and a 50 year old 1974 Suzuki GT185. Both of these bikes are what you would call entry level motorcycles. Back 50 years ago Suzuki had a 125cc, 185cc, and 250cc version of this bike which could all be ridden at 17 years old on L plates. Now you can only ride up to a 125cc after passing your CBT at 17 years old, and this Yamaha is probably the most popular offering from the big Japanese brands.

So what do you think? Should these manufacturers start looking to their past for design inspiration or should they carry on in this current direction?
