I’ve spent years traveling on Harley-Davidson Road Glides, Street Glides, and Ultras, but this trip was different. Instead of a bagger, I loaded up my Harley-Davidson Pan America and hauled it deep into Southwest Texas near Big Bend for an awesome ride.
After scrapping a sketchy motorcycle carrier and switching to an enclosed trailer, we crossed six states, battled fuel range anxiety, desert winds, and remote roads, all leading to one goal—riding the legendary Texas Highway 170 along the Rio Grande.
This road is raw. Remote. Beautiful.
Mountains, canyons, blind curves, loose gravel, livestock, and endless views of Mexico just a rock’s throw away.
And then we did something I didn’t plan on…
👉 We rode the Pan America across the border into Mexico.

No guide. No plan. Just curiosity, motorcycles, and the open road.
