After more than a decade away from the 600cc supersport class, I finally got back on a 2025 Kawasaki ZX-6R KRT Edition to see how the iconic 636 holds up today. In this first ride I take the bike through city streets and onto the highway to get a feel for the power delivery, riding position, and overall personality of Kawasaki’s middleweight screamer. The ZX-6R has always been a fan favorite in the supersport world, but does it still make sense in today’s motorcycle landscape? By the end of the ride we’ll break it all down and see where it lands on the Chase Score leaderboard.
