It’s been a couple of weeks since I picked up this 1999 Harley‑Davidson Springer, and we just rolled past 10,000 miles. In this update, I walk through everything I’ve changed, everything I’ve discovered, and what upgrades I’m planning next.
I cover the seat swap that finally made this bike rideable for more than 20 miles, the new swingarm storage bag, and the service history I uncovered through the dealership — including a Stage 1 done back in 2012. I also talk about future upgrades like bars, grips, maybe lowering the rear, and whether I should drop in the Andrews EV27 cam I’ve had sitting on the shelf for years.
This Springer isn’t becoming a show bike — it’s becoming a rider. I’m putting miles on it every week, taking it to work, cruising the Ozarks, and enjoying the Evo personality.
